Covered Chair with Shadow
I thought this project was fun. I originally thought it would be fun having a partner, until I ended up doing all of the work. What you had to do was upload a picture of a chair. Then you had to choose an artist, and upload pictures of their work and put it in the shape of a chair and cover the chair completely up. That part was easy. Then we had to create the shadow. This was hard because it had to be nearly perfect, and in just the right spot where the sun would be hitting it and creating a shadow. This took awhile, but eventually I got the hang of it and completed the project.
Avatar 1
I didn't understand this project completely. We were supposed to take a picture of ourselves and upload it onto the canvas and make us into an avatar. I put a rainforest in the background, because I thought that would be a cool setting. Then I colored my skin in light pink. I replaced my hair with a pink bob wig. Then I liquified my eyes. Then I was done. Like I said, this project didn't really make sense to me. I really didn't like how we had to make 2 of them.
Abstract Expressionist Work
I really enjoyed this product. We were supposed to create something that would look like something an abstract expressionist would create. I took the paint tool and made it black. Then I just drew one, continuous, curly, zigzag line. I had to make sure not to lift up the mouse, because then it would be an incomplete line. So what happened when I did this was that the lines overlapped, and therefore created a bunch of oddly shaped blobs. Then I just took the paint bucket and filled in the blobs with different vivid colors. I tried to use bright colors that stand out so that I could catch the eye of people. I really liked how this project was laid back and you didn't have to worry about what it looked like.
Product Advertisement
I really didn't like this project. We were supposed to make an ad about a product. So what I did was an iPhone 4. I imported the picture of the iPhone 4. Then I added a fun background to make the ad more appealing to the audience. Then I typed the name of the product in an interesting and fun font to make sure to catch the attention when the ad is shown. I didn't like this project because we had already seen so many ads for so many products, and I, for one, did not want to copy the ad. It was definitely a test of our creativity. It was different, but I didn't like it that much. It also has some star stamps placed randomly in the background.
Color Wheel Stencil 2
This project was the same as the other color wheel stencil project, but we had to make 2 of them. I liked this project the first time, but I got the hang of it, and didn't feel the need to do the project twice. For my second color wheel stencil project, the theme was flowers. Basically, I put pictures of flowers onto my canvas, and then I used a heart stencil to cut them into a heart shape. Then I used the photo filter to color them each a different color of the rainbow. Some of the flowers were already colors of the rainbow, so I just made them a little more noticeable. We had to use a gradient as a background, so I made the gradient a light gray, because it is like in the spring when the light is just starting to become bright, and everything is blossoming and growing.
Arcimboldo Face
I liked this project a lot. We had to make a face using 15 layers. The layers had to have something in common, like fruit, or sports equipment. I made my face out of sports equipment. The head and neck were made out of a tennis racket. A tennis ball and a baseball were the eyes. The arms were replaced with a lacrosse stick and a baseball bat. A field hockey stick and a hockey stick made up the legs. The upper body was consisted of a soccer ball, and the lower body was consisted of a basketball. It actually turned out looking somewhat like a person.

Color Wheel Project
Hola! It has been a long time since I posted something! Recently we got an assignment that was really fun. We were supposed to take 6 pictures of things that were related, whether it be shoes, backpacks, or industrial machines. Then, we would put the pictures on a photoshop canvas. Then we needed to find a stencil online. I used a star stencil. Then we had to cut the picture into the shape of a star. Once we had done that with all of our pictures, we used a photo filter and tinted each photo a different color of the rainbow. Once I had done that, I applied a gradient to the background of my project to make it more appealing and to make the colors stand out more. Then I had to arrange the stars so that they were arranged by color, but they were also appealing to the eye. Then we were done! I thought this project was interesting because we had so much freedom on the subject of our pictures. We got to choose what items we wanted to take pictures of. I chose shoes because they were simple to find, because everyone wears shoes to school, and usually you can find a variety if you look around. I got most of my pictures in 1 day, and then I took some more on the second day. This project was also cool because we got to experiment a lot with different tools. It was really all about the freedom. Adios!
